Connection with the SCLC: Ms. Holbrook became involved in the Center in 1993, when she lived in the Sarapiqui region for two years. Since then, Ms. Holbrook has been actively involved, serving on the Board, acting as Board President and registering the Center as a non-profit organization in the United States.

Connection with the SCLC: Ms. Barbee worked as the Executive Director of the Sarapiquí Conservation Learning Center 2006-2008. She got to know the Center prior working as a guide from San José for a company called Adventures Under the Sun bringing student groups to partake in various ecotourism activities including cultural and environmental activities and community service projects.

Her commitment to the SCLC stems from a deep belief in its mission - conservation through education. She is grateful for the opportunity to support this growing and vibrant organization.
