The 2011 ´Paquetes Escolares´ (Education Packet) campaign has paid off! This February thanks to donor support we were able to help get students ready for classes by creating over 50 sets of 7 notebooks, pencils, rulers, glue and much more. For every $10 donation a child was able to receive an education packet to prepare them for the start of the new school year.

Here in Costa Rica every elementary student is required to have 14 notebooks just to begin – and that does not include the pens, pencils or other basic supplies. While the packets are not costly donations, the smiles from the children's faces after receiving the packets have been priceless. The campaign has been going year round and we are already gearing up for next year's school supply extravaganza! Thank you participants!

The Sarapiquí Conservation Learning Center is greatly appreciative of all the support it receives from our various donors. It is through the help of the donors that we can run the center effectively and smoothly. Without them, we could not provide Sarapiquí with the assistance they deserve and need.
