As mentioned in previous newsletters the SCLC has been focusing a lot on bird education with the local youth. We are continuing with our bird club and our students are really improving their bird identification skills.  We have also started a new program with the Mulberry Elementary School in Kingston, Ontario.  We will begin a letter writing and art exchange program where students will share about the birds they see in their daily lives, including migratory species.
If you also recall, the SCLC was working with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to implement the Bird Sleuth program with our Afterschool Program and in four elementary schools. Information about the project is now online on the Bird Sleuth website:
