The SCLC strives to provide necessary tools for education and programming that can be used in teaching and supporting the local community.  Donations help us to operate more efficiently and expand programming.  Computers, office equipment, and school supplies are hard to find and expensive in rural Costa Rica.

Book Donations

We are trying to expand our book collection in the center's library. Our library is filled with lovely books in English donated by generous people like you, but we are greatly lacking in Spanish books. This poses a problem for all the Ticos in Sarapiquí who come to the center in search for books in their own language. Since the center is Sarapiquí's only library it is important that we offer the locals books that they can read.

One of the easiest ways to donate books is to bring some down with you on your next trip to Costa Rica or hand them over to someone that is. This eliminates the costs and time spent sending packages to CR. So if any of you are planning a trip to CR or know of someone that is, please spread the word that Sarapiqui is in dire need of Spanish books! It would be greatly appreciated by all.
