SCLC long-term volunteers are highly skilled, full-time, and responsible for coordinating programs. Volunteers mostly work independently on their programs but also receive support from the administration and other volunteers. Because they primarily work with the local community, all volunteers should have at least an intermediate level of Spanish. Volunteers must make at least a six month commitment and preferred applicants can make a one-year commitment to the SCLC. All room, board, and work-related expenses are covered. All long-term volunteers are expected to work together as a team in support of each program.
