Short-term volunteer positions also are available but only on a limited basis and according to specific programming needs. Current needs are GIS, elementary education, adult literacy, water monitoring, forestry, botanical gardens, and PR/web/graphic design skills. Potential volunteers must have expertise in one of these areas and advanced Spanish skills. Short-term volunteers pay $350 per month to cover program and homestay fees.
