Job Description

• Provide ecology clubs to children at local elementary schools and at SCLC
• Work with the community development committee in their conservation projects
• Support After-School Program Coordinator with environmental curriculum development
• Convert SCLC garden space to an ASP-led themed garden focusing on pollination and plant diversity and create related curriculum
• Work with local, national and international conservation groups
• Provide support and education to staff about local environmental issues and projects

Job Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish
• Experience teaching environmental education and developing curriculum
• Interest in a variety of environmental concepts, especially those related to water, forestry, and tropical ecology
• Experience working with children and youth
• Computer skills, GIS a plus
• Experience with program development
